What I'm focused on now
Themes
Agent-era infrastructure: Every layer of the internet was built for human users. Payments, identity, discovery, compute—they all assume a person at the keyboard. When software agents act on their own, those layers break. I’m mapping the five that have to be rebuilt: rails, protocols, discovery, identity, and payments. The agent-era infrastructure map tracks what’s emerging.
Agent payments: How do agents pay for things when the transaction costs more than the service? The current payment stack can’t handle sub-cent transactions across dozens of services per session. I wrote about the split between Visa/Mastercard and permissionless protocols like Lightning and Cashu in agent payments have a three-body problem.
